Programs

Membership Committee

Greeters. The purpose of the greeters is to greet people on Sunday mornings, assist first-time visitors, and pass out the order of worship.

Dessert & Discussion. Three times a year the Membership Committee hosts an evening of dessert and discussion for newcomers and visitors. This event provides an opportunity for visitors to learn general information about the UU denomination as well as specifics about our Congregation. The evening also lends itself to learning more about potential new members. For volunteers on the committee, it involves: Scheduling a specific time and date, usually one each in October, February, and May Identifying and inviting interested people, in conjunction with the minister and the committee chair Providing refreshments, such as cheese and crackers, cookies, coffee and tea, etc. Contacting key people to ensure their participation
