What makes us unique

Unitarian Universalist congregations have much in common -- the shared UU principles, the history of the Unitarian and the Universalist churches. Nevertheless, each congregation, church, fellowship, or society is unique in its own way:  the emphasis each places on ministry to various groups with distinct needs, the social justice activism each chooses to engage in, and the tone and tenor of its services and activities. We worship as a community for all ages.  The first portion of the worship services includes both children and adults.  The children then are invited to attend the religious education programs with their teachers, while the adults remain in the sanctuary for the sermon and the remainder of the worship service.  Several times a year, we worship as a full intergenerational community for the full duration of the service.
